A Symbol of History and Culture
The «Kyiv» art installation, created by DION, is a unique multifaceted structure that embodies the spirit and cultural heritage of Ukraine’s capital. Made of stainless steel, coated with gold paint and a special varnish, the installation exudes elegance and a radiant glow under any lighting conditions. Measuring 7 feet in height and 6 feet 12 inches in width and depth, it stands as a remarkable landmark in the urban landscape.
The Play of Light and Traditional Motifs
The installation’s surfaces are adorned with intricate patterns, inspired by the traditional Petrykivka painting, a hallmark of Ukrainian decorative art. Laser-cut metal forms delicate, airy patterns, casting soft light reflections that interact with the surrounding space. One of the installation’s panels features a modern logo of Kyiv, designed in a stylized form that highlights the city’s unique identity and distinct character. This detail transforms the installation into not just a work of art but a symbolic representation of Kyiv itself.
